About Our Teaching Clinic
Based in purpose built facilities at Ara's city campus in Christchurch, Our third and fourth year students provide osteopathic treatment under supervision of a registered Osteopath. The Ara Osteopathy teaching Clinic provides the Clinical Practice component of the Bachelor of Musculoskeletal Health & Post-graduate
Diploma in Osteopathy.
The appointments run a little differently here to a regular Osteopathy clinic. As we are a teaching clinic there will be times where your student practitioner will leave the room and times where the supervisor will enter.
New research project from September 2024 with a UK partner
Patient Reported Outcome Measures (PROMS) starting September 2024
As a teaching clinic in a tertiary education college we engage in research within our field of work. We have a new project starting on 16th September 2024 where we will ask new and returning patients (who have not been for over one year) if they would like to help us by telling us how they feel after their treatments. All replies are anonymous. If you would like more details click on our poster here.
