Massage Therapy
Massage has been used as a healing therapy for over 5000 years. By learning these ancient techniques and the theory behind them at Ara, you can enjoy a rewarding career helping individuals become pain-free and experience enhanced wellbeing.
We teach two types of massage therapy at Ara: remedial and relaxation.
Remedial massage therapy takes a holistic approach. It starts with a clinical assessment to determine the location, nature and possible cause of the pain the client is presenting with. Then, NMT techniques are applied to treat and assist the neuromusculoskeletal system to optimal health and vitality.
Relaxation massage therapy soothes the mind and body, generally with a focus on the back, head, neck arms and legs. Although this form of massage isn’t intended to work out adhesions or treat tension within the body, but it does have many health benefits such as improving circulation and movement, relieving minor tension and promoting overall relaxation.
