Up to $10,000 per individual learner to support their studies. This support is available to cover fees, purchase a new instrument or provide general living expenses.
Eligibility
To be eligible to apply for one of these scholarships you must:
- Be a New Zealand citizen or permanent resident
- Be enrolled full time in the Ara Bachelor of Music programme with a focus on jazz performance (woodwind or brass)
If you are shortlisted for the award, a live performance to the sponsorship team is a requirement.

How to Apply
- Complete an online application form
- Provide a personal statement (up to 1000 words) explaining how you will utilise the funds. Where possible, include evidence (e.g., quotes, invoices)
- If you are new to Ara, please provide a referee report (using the template below).
