Certificate in Collision Repair and Automotive Refinishing

STARTS: February 2025
Sullivan Ave

Equip yourself with skills for a career in the automotive collision repair and refinishing industry.

The first six months of full-time study of this autobody qualification is designed to give you all the fundamental knowledge required to start work in the industry. This is achieved through a combination of the theoretical knowledge and practical hands-on tasks similar to the daily tasks undertaken in the industry.

The programme covers workplace policies, procedures and relevant regulations to work safely and effectively in the collision repair and automotive refinishing industry. It will also equip you with fundamental collision repair knowledge, enabling you to remove and replace vehicle components to assist with collision repair. You'll also gain automotive refinishing knowledge so that you can repair minor damage and prepare vehicle components for refinishing work.

Delivered via night classes and block courses, the second half of the programme is designed so you can complete it if you’re working as an apprentice. Please contact us for further information about Ara Managed Apprenticeships.

PLEASE NOTE: This course is a mix of full-time and part-time. You’ll study full-time for 17 weeks (accruing 60 credits), then part-time for 32 weeks (accruing the remaining 60 credits).
