Tell me about this area
Human resource management involves helping organisations get the best from their people. HR professionals recruit and onboard employees and contractors, build capability through training, support managers with performance conversations and help shape fair pay and conditions. They manage workplace policies, resolve issues early and guide healthy employment relationships. Modern HR is increasingly strategic, using data, technology and good judgement to improve employee experience, wellbeing and organisational performance. In Aotearoa New Zealand, cultural awareness including Te Tiriti principles supports respectful practice.
