This course facilitates students to practice and integrate advanced clinical skills, within conceptual nursing frameworks, to enable them to meet the competencies for application to the Nursing Council of New Zealand for the ‘Nurse Practitioner’ scope of practice.

Description
The learning outcomes for this course are:
- Demonstrate advanced clinical leadership and collaborative practice skills working with population groups with complex needs
- Utilise evidence to independently and/or collaboratively assess, diagnose, develop and implement clinical management plans in the care and management of patients and families
- Utilise research, audit, clinical leadership and mentoring to contribute to the advancement of advanced nursing practice
- Observe the legal, regulatory, ethical and policy frameworks for nurse practitioner practice in Aotearoa New Zealand
