Apply knowledge of pathophysiology to the patient with diabetes to ensure best practice and enhance patient outcomes.

Critically reflect on the key aspects of pharmacological treatments and modalities, including administration and safe storage.

Articulate the possible psychological implications of diabetes for the patient and family/whānau.

Critically analyse strategies of education, support and motivation, in the context of the patient, family/whānau and culture.
