Articulate the aetiology and clinical presentation of major mental illnesses and analyse the impact of these on individuals and family/whanau.

Critically analyse assessment findings and interventions to assist people who are experiencing an altered mental health status.

Critically analyse the concept of recovery and the provision of care, related to people who experience mental illness, from a nursing perspective.
