Description
The learning outcomes for this course are:
Analyse the pathophysiology of medical and obstetric complications affecting pregnancy, labour, birth, and the puerperium to inform whānau-centred midwifery care.
Apply knowledge of the role of the midwife within the Scope of Practice when working with women/pregnant people who develop a complication during the childbirth continuum.
Provide collaborative, evidence-based, culturally competent midwifery care when working with women/pregnant people experiencing complications during the childbirth continuum.
Achieve selected performance criteria for Midwifery Council Competencies to the expected level, when complication/s may develop during the childbirth continuum.
