Apply knowledge of legislation and legal issues surrounding the prescribing, administration and use of medicines within pregnancy and childbirth.

Apply knowledge of medications and pharmacological principles to ensure the safe application in midwifery practice during pregnancy, childbirth, the puerperium and lactation.

Integrate current research findings into practice with regard to the use of medicines within the childbirth continuum.
