Examine the importance of tikanga within Te Ao Māori to support culturally competent midwifery practice in Aotearoa New Zealand.

Explore Te Ao Māori in relation to both historical and contemporary birthing practices.

Describe the principles of Tūranga Kaupapa and its application to midwifery practice.
