Description

Demonstrate knowledge of how anatomical and physiological/neuro-hormonal features can shape labour and birth.

Evaluate the use of a range of strategies and self-help methods that can be called upon in labour and birth to support the woman/wāhine and promote physiological birth.

Analyse how the experience of labour and birth may impact on early parenting and understand mitigating factors that may be utilised.
