Explain key concepts of human geography with a particular focus on place, human/environment interaction, and Te Ao Māori, and discuss how these are relevant to sustainability and outdoor education.
Examine how historical moments, including Te Tiriti o Waitangi and processes of colonisation, along with contemporary trends such as demographic changes, influence Aotearoa New Zealand's national identity.
Apply a place-based approach to geographical learning in and about Horomaka/Banks Peninsula.
