The learning outcomes for this course are:
Describe the enrolled nurse scope of practice and its relationship to the scope and roles of the registered nurse and the inter-professional health care team.
Identify and discuss relevant legislation, ethical principles standards and codes pertaining to health care delivery and health consumer, family/whanau care.
Discuss a range of models of care and clinical decision making used in health care settings.
Identify and discuss the relationship between the Te Tiriti o Waitangi / Treaty of Waitangi and health care in New Zealand.
Identify and describe a range of contemporary nursing issues.
