Description
Whakamahi pepeha whakataukī/whakatauākī, ā tuhi, ā kōrero, hei whakapuaki i te whakaaro, hei tohu i te tuakiri me ngā hononga o te tangata i ngā horopaki e tika ana.
Use proverbs and pepeha appropriately in written and oral form to express thoughts, identity and connection (geographically and through geneology) in speaking and writing.
Whakamahi kīwaha i ngā horopaki e tika ana.
Use appropriate idiom to express thought and emotion in speaking and writing.
Whakamārama i nga whakataukī/whakatauākī, kīwaha, kīanga kua tohua.
Explain specified examples of idiom, proverbs and colloquial sayings.
Whakamahi tika i Te Reo Māori me ngā momo kīanga kia hua mai tētahi tuhinga auaha mō tētahi kaupapa motuhake.
Apply knowledge of colloquial phrases and Te Reo Māori to create accurate and original pieces of writing.
