Digital Design Level 2 - Blended Delivery (Dual Enrolment)

Discover new creative opportunities using digital tools.

Dual Enrolment programmes are FREE if you're in Years 11, 12 or 13 and a great way to earn NCEA credits and get a feel for tertiary study, while you’re still at school.

The Digital Design Programme guides learners through three key assessments, fostering both technical and creative growth in digital art. In Assessment 1, learners analyse the work of an artist or designer, focusing on what influences their work. This analysis is presented through a video, which prioritises insightful research and reflection over production quality.

Assessment 2 builds on this by asking learners to develop a concept for a design brief inspired by earlier themes. This phase emphasises the process of refining and enhancing concept drawings, with evaluation based on the depth of analysis and reflection.

In Assessment 3, learners transform their refined concepts into a finished digital artwork suitable for display. The focus is on effectively using digital tools to create a cohesive piece that fits an exhibition context. Throughout the programme, learners develop both traditional and digital skills, balancing creative exploration with technical proficiency.

Students attend classes at the Madras Campus one day per week (9am – 3pm) for the duration of the programme, as well as being able to complete work remotely between classes in the iQualify online learning platform.

Location: Christchurch

*Places are limited and funding is dependent on availability. Some courses may incur costs, depending on the learner's eligibility. Part-time 1 year.
