Beauty Therapy and Hairdressing Level 3 (Dual Enrolment)

Discover if a career in beauty or hair is for you.

Dual Enrolment programmes are FREE if you're in Years 11, 12 or 13 and a great way to earn NCEA credits and get a feel for tertiary study, while you’re still at school.

Location: Timaru

This is the perfect way to learn about two busy and exciting career pathways before deciding whether you want to be a hairdresser or a beauty therapist. You’ll learn some of the anatomy and physiology behind what qualified stylists and therapists do and gain some skills in both these areas. There is a project on make-up and design and your learning is all in the context of a retail salon. This covers how to deal with customers and handle payments - skills employers are always looking for. Part-time, one year.

Please note: places are limited, and funding is dependent on availability. Some courses may incur costs, depending on the student’s eligibility. Fees may apply for international students.
