Amitrajit (Amit) Sarkar is a senior member of the faculty at Ara. He’s been involved in industry and academia for the past two decades and his main area of teaching is software engineering, database development and work-integrated learning projects.
Amit has published widely in software engineering and management information systems. His main research interests include framework and artifact development in digital resilience, an aspect of organisational resilience, and Smart City Application development with AI. Amit has worked extensively with organisations and institutions in Australasia, Europe and North America and has won multiple best paper awards for his research publications. As a skilled educator, he has a solid grounding in the current practices in the industry and is adept at creating a positive learning environment and helping bridge the knowledge gap.
