Apply knowledge of infection control requirements related to the Health and Disability Sector Standards and issues to meet certification.

Examine the microorganisms of significance within the residential care and acute care/hospital settings.

Apply principles of infection control and analyse how to implement appropriate infection control measures.

Critically analyse the effectiveness of an infection control programme.
