Australasia and South-East Asia Structural Engineering and Construction Conference

Academics, engineers, entrepreneurs, architects and other interested individuals are invited to attend the fifth Australasia and South-East Asia Structural Engineering and Construction Conference at Ara from 30 November to 2 December, 2020.

Hosted by our Department of Engineering and Architectural Studies (EAS) at the City campus, is part of the successful ongoing ISEC conference series. It aims to provide a platform to discuss recent technological advancements and innovations in the broad field of civil/structural engineering and construction.

The conference includes two keynote speeches plus more than 80 technical presentations from all over the world (in parallel sessions). These include a number of research and technical papers from our EAS department and presentations of student projects.

Hosting this event is a reflection of the high regard with which our Engineering and Architectural Studies department is held, both nationally and internationally. It highlights the credibility and quality of our internationally recognised engineering programmes, which are developed in collaboration with industry, and which ensure our students have industry-sponsored opportunities to test their skills against industry standards in a real-world scenarios.

It’s also a recognition of the quality of our staff, who are highly qualified with extensive academic teaching and applied research experience. They’re also widely respected for their student-centred teaching approach and quality research outputs.
