- Abdominal obesity analysis (waist to hip ratio, visceral and subcutaneous fat mass)
- Segmental muscle and fat mass assessment
- Biological age
- Body type
- Basal metabolic rate (energy used to support basic physiological functions)
- Total energy expenditure (amount of energy needed per day to support basic metabolism and activity)

You can book your appointment online:
- Initial scan $35
30 minute appointment, followed by a consultation with The Zone practitioner to explain your test results and practical steps to meet your goals.
- Follow up scan $20
15 minute appointment to assess changes and progress.
The test takes less than a minute and is non-invasive - all you need to do is stand on the machine in light clothing (there’s no poking, prodding or pinching).
The Zone is open Monday – Friday from 7.45am – 9.15am.
IMPORTANT NOTE: you cannot do this test if you have a pacemaker or are pregnant.
To ensure the results of the scan are accurate, please follow these guidelines as best you can:
- Complete the pre-questionnaire (link provided in the appointment confirmation email) to provide you with the best possible service and expertise.
- Perform the test each time under the same conditions, temperature, posture, etc.
- To ensure the most accurate results, testing should be done early morning.
- Do not exercise or perform any physical tasks before testing, this will result in a temporary change in body composition.
- Avoid eating before a measurement, wait 2 hours for digestion.
- Do not take a bath or shower prior to measurement. Perspiring (sweating) that occurs also results in a temporary change in body composition.
- Perform the measurement after urination or excretion, if possible. Residues inside the human body are interpreted as fat mass.
- Bare feet are required to perform the test.
